Good news, everyone: I pitched a column on 'gardening' to the srsly kickin' newish website The Awl -- started by ex-Gawker editors Choire Sicha and Alex Balk -- and ZOMG they went for it! My first piece is on Corsican mint and you can read it here. They also have a daily newsletter and are no doubt looking for ad revenue (via 'mad traffic'), so be sure to sign up: the site has lots of intelligently written post-gay/post-str8/post-gossip/post-news/post-entertainment/post-print links + commentary + blogable memes, i.e., it's what 'The New Yorker' might look like if it were just starting out now as a Web 2.0 'blog.'
