I took a bunch of pictures yesterday when it was raining, beginning with the Empire State Building. Today it was only foggy. Outside (yesterday), I almost decided not to walk up Broadway, but then I remembered how much I like the reflection of the light on the wet streets.
My umbrella wasn't that great, to be honest. On the other hand, I found it on the street a few years ago, so I can't really complain. I was relieved when the red pavement ended.
The city feels more timeless with a shaky hand and black pavement.
Sometimes I wonder what these streets will look like 100 years from now.
Will people be flying around in jet packs? Will everyone be texting directly from their brains? Only the buildings will know for sure.
And maybe the long yellow light on the wet streets.
